About me

Hello! My name is Sally and I run Pilates classes in Stevenage at various Community Centres. If you are interested in the many benefits of Pilates but don’t want to be tied to expensive gym fees and would like to exercise in a friendly, informal environment, then keep reading!

I have been a qualified exercise instructor since 1991 and qualified to teach Pilates in 2005. After many years of teaching in clubs, I started my own community classes in that year and I currently run several morning and evening classes each week. (Please see the Timetable for more details.)

Class Bookings

New members are always welcome, men and women, all abilities from complete beginners to intermediates. Many exercises can be adapted to suit individual needs. Classes must now be booked and paid for in advance, as numbers are limited. Each class costs £7 for an individual class, or £32.50 for 5 classes. About Pilates

Pilates movements gently stretch the muscles, pulling them into leaner and longer shapes. Pilates is a low-impact exercise and movement class designed to tone the abdominals, strengthen your back, improve your posture and increase your flexibility. There is a mixture of standing and floor work exercises for all abilities. Equipment is regularly used, such as resistance bands and pilates mini-balls, and these will need to be purchased at a small cost.

Motivational Classes

I aim to provide motivational classes that offer safe but effective exercises. I cater for beginners to intermediates within each class by offering different levels for many exercises. This will help you to achieve your fitness goals and improve your confidence and physical levels, whatever your ability. I continue to educate myself throughout the year by attending courses, workshops, masterclasses and fitness events.
